ELECTRICAL - INDUSTRIAL, INSTITUTIONAL AND COMMERCIAL
The Industrial,
Institutional & Commercial Electrical Division is Bermúdez, Longo,
Díaz-Massó S.E. ’s
second largest operating unit, and the counterpart of the mechanical
division. The combination of these two disciplines under one roof provides
the benefits of better coordination, lower cost and a shorter project cycle.
The electrical division, as commonly known, employs near three hundred (300)
full time craft personnel. This highly trained and qualified group, is
responsible for the electrical construction of industrial, institutional and
commercial facilities.
The electrical division normally performs the following construction work:
• Site underground work
• Electrical power wiring
• Equipment installation and repair
• High voltage substation installation

The Industrial,
Institutional & Commercial Mechanical Division is

largest operating unit, contributing over one-third of its total revenue.
This mechanical division, as we normally call it, employs more than three
hundred (300) full time craft personnel. These individuals, who have the
skill and experience, are responsible for the construction of industrial,
institutional and commercial facilities.
The mechanical division normally performs the following construction work:
• Site underground work
• Pipe fabrication and installation
• Equipment and machinery installation
• Boiler installation
• Process piping and vessel erection
• Pneumatic and electronic instrumentation
• Welding and metal fabrication
• Orbital process pipe welding
• Thermal insulation
• Controls & building management

HYDRAULIC AND SANITARY – INFRASTRUCTURE
Due to a recent increase in new development projects, the government’s primary hydraulic and sanitary infrastructure is being expanded and refurbished. Formerly, part of the Mechanical Division, the Hydro-Sanitary Division is now a separate construction group. The group is capable to perform construction and installation of waste water treatment plants, potable water processing and filtration facilities, municipal pumping stations and waste water transfer stations among others. We also perform main lines and worknet for potable water, trunk sewer and worknet for used water.
POWER / HIGHWAYS/TELECOMUNICATIONS
The Division of Highways and Geometric
Improvements is engaged in the installation of aerial and underground
electrical systems. Our working force consists of full time specialized
technicians and electricians who are responsible for providing accuracy and
quality in all our services. This division normally performs the following
construction work:
• Street and area illumination
• Traffic signal systems
• Geometric improvements
• Switchyards and substations
• Installation of underground transmission and distribution electrical
systems
• Pedestal assembly units
• Cable splicing
• Miscellaneous assembly units
The Telecommunications Division is engaged in the installation of aerial and underground communications systems, as well as structures cabling and wiring for communication networks in categories ranging from 3e to 6. Our working force consists of more than two hundred (200) full time specialized communications technicians who are responsible for providing accuracy and quality in all our services. The installation of analog and fiber optic wiring systems, along with the construction of manholes and conduit runs, is the primary source of projects.

Being
the oldest and ground breaking division, the Housing group has managed to
remain very competitive in the well developed local market. Our customers
benefit from better coordination crews, highly experienced supervisors and
the back-up of seven (7) other divisions to attain lower costs and superior
quality of work.
This division performs the following construction work while at housing
developments:
• Site underground work
• Electrical power wiring
• Equipment installation and repair
• Communication wiring (intelligent housing)
• High voltage substation installation
SPECIAL PROJECTS
The Special Projects Division was formed due to the need to better manage large sensitive projects. It provides mechanical and electrical construction services under a separate organization maximizing capabilities while improving risk, capital and resource management. Projects under this division range from 15 to 30 million dollars.

PLANT SERVICES
Bermúdez, Longo, Díaz-Massó S.E. ’s Plant Services Division evolved in response to our customers’ request for maintenance and other support services at their facilities. The Division recognizes the need for a maintenance and services organization to provide timely and appropriate response to maximize plant production at the best possible cost. From the supply of supervision and craft personnel for routine maintenance or shutdown work, to the timely response for small capital projects, our goal is to provide the services required to help achieve optimum plant performance.
The Plant Services performs the following Construction & Maintenance work:
• Small scale concrete & masonry
• Structural steel
• Piping
• HVAC
• Electrical
• Interior Work
SUPPORT DEPARTMENTS
Eight departments comprise the support area within the Company; Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Business Development, Construction Equipment & Transportation, Contract Development & Estimating, Purchasing & Warehousing, Safety & Accident Prevention and Quality Assurance & Control.
